Job Overview:

The Volunteer Manager plays a vital role in coordinating and overseeing the volunteer program at Embrace Center. This position involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure they have a rewarding experience while contributing meaningfully to our mission. You’ll be the primary point of contact for volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organize orientation and training sessions to prepare volunteers for various roles.
  • Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and availability.
  • Provide ongoing support, recognition, and feedback to volunteers to ensure their success.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, participation, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
  • Plan volunteer appreciation events and activities to recognize their contributions.
  • Ensure that all volunteer activities comply with organizational policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or related roles.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
  • Proficiency in using volunteer management software or databases is a plus.
  • A passion for community service and a commitment to the mission of Embrace Center.
